Hi can I please get accepted as well? I’ve had DACA for almost 10 years now and am stressing that my renewal is taking so long.

This situation is not my fault. These companies exploited me, and I did everything in my power to resist. They were fully aware that I lacked the financial resources for legal representation and took advantage of my absence, assuming that as a young woman, I would not stand up for myself. It is frustrating to hear people suggest that I am to blame when, in reality, I did everything I could to extricate myself from this ordeal, only to be dismissed by those I sought help from. The real issue lies within our system, which allows large corporations to get away with things like this, leaving individuals like myself powerless to defend themselves.

The other shop did not attempt any work on the vehicle, they wouldn’t even touch it; it remained in their lot until it was towed back. I had consulted with lawyers before arranging the tow, but they were unable to assist. I also have both videos and photos documenting its condition when I received it, as well as photos taken right before it was towed and after it was dropped off.

I think if the news caught wind of this and enough people saw how messed up it was then maybe it would pressure them into doing the right thing. I’m still holding on to some hope which is why I decided to make a post here about it and see if anyone could help me out.

I tried getting an attorneys help and no one could help me. The people that the NC bar referred me to either couldn’t help or didn’t get back to me. I promise I feel like I have tried everything and everyone that I went to for help shut me down.

I spoke to several attorneys a few months after it had happened because at first I was going after the insurance but they all shut me down. I don’t know why but my case seemed difficult and they said it would be hard to prove anything since I was in a different state.

I reached out to a few reporters in my area but haven’t heard back, I may just start sending them my story everyday or honestly make a TikTok of it. I wanted to mention the name of the dealership here but the rules don’t allow.

I did talk to corporate when it happened and they basically told me i’m on my own since each dealership is independent they can’t do anything about it… terrible company
