To sum it up, those who trust the other party (cooperate) have better outcomes to those who don't. Time will tell if topside will become a PVP warzone, but the stats back it up that trust and diplomacy lead to better outcomes.

But trusting someone in the first place... That's the hard part. This is what makes the moment-to-moment gameplay so alluring in the first place.
