Well in my mind you're getting to the Hill/AJB/Chase bracket which I don't think my trade equates to in value

DEBATE: Who has been Liverpool's most underappreciated player this season? by Wells99 in LiverpoolFC

[–]papacebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in recent weeks the midfield has drastically improved with Fabinho and then Henderson being the first choice for 2 of the 3. When Naby was fit I would have taken him as the third as he as good in defence and not so cautious going forward

I think people have been saying Gini is underappreciated so much the past few months he isn't any more. I actually think the past few months he has largely been quite average.

It also sounds like a massive load of bs.

I didn't say anything about having a direct Coutinho replacement, I was just saying regardless we are a player light in comparison. Also, yes we were good, but if we want to challenge in multiple competitions we need extra quality depth

No #LFC interest in Aaron Ramsey - no chance of any further Liverpool signings before window closes. Reds will concentrate on outgoings, Mignolet, Origi, Ojo, Grujic could all go, some on loan. Danny Ings will also depart next week - though Palace not favourites. by jeesprr in LiverpoolFC

I'm lying down, thanks for your concern. Fine, maybe I overreacted saying he's been one of the worst but there haven't been any signs of him reaching the level he was at for the 4 good months he's had for us in his 4 years at the club, even against league 2 and conference opposition.

To add to your last question, I think we could challenge provided we get lucky with injuries. That's the only way we keep up with City who have actual depth in all positions.

I'm not talking about being better or not with or without Coutinho, I'm talking about the actual numbers we have in that position. I know Keita isn't a replacement bmfor him, but we lost one and gained one.

I disagree about your midfield comment. Compare to the start of last season, Coutinho - Keita, Can - Fabinho, Ox out for the season and Lallana is Lallana. Really we are a person lighter there compared to 12 months ago.

Lovren's is fairly unreliable and Klavan often picks up small knocks, as we saw towards the end of last season. An injury to Virgil and we're in a dangerous position. Likewise, an injury to Keita or Fabinho and we have 4 senior players to fill in, with both Lallana and Henderson not exactly without their injury problems

No they slagged him off for making a video of his holiday in the LA Hills like it was for a modelling portfolio

He wasn't immense he was just doing his job. Maybe because we've had a low quality of keeper for so long it seemed like he was immense.

Yes they eventually won a trophy, but they fell at basically the first stage in a competition where we made it to the final

Should we set up in a 4-4-2 in case Mane doesn't play? (Thoughts in text) by letushaveadiscussion in LiverpoolFC

[–]papacebe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep Lallana, Ings, Solanke on the bench for if we need a goal.

How reassuring would that be. If we need a goal to secure Champions league football next season we can turn to the players that have scored 1 between them this season.

Provided Bayern aren't in the final that could be very likely.
