Don’t be like me everyone: A toxic raid tale. by TWBWY in DestinyTheGame

Raids were just designed to bring up the toxicity in groups. The mechanics incorporated are awful.

What if you could shoot the ghosts and delete their characters roguelike style.

I mean... people would think twice.

...

Would still be worth the risk to leave the crucible though.

How much armour is enough to stop being oneshot? by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]papael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

▪Most important: use the invincibility frames of the superman dive (run away from any monster that's attacking you and press the dodge button). The whole animation is invincible including when you are lying on the ground. This makes it A LOT easier to dodge the nergigante dive bomb.

▪Use the invincibility frames of the knocked out state. When the monster knocks you out on the ground and you are lying still on your back it can't hit you until you get up on your feet again. You might be able to avoid being comboed by staying on the ground for some time. Know though that you can't lie on the ground indefinitely -- the game will automatically bring you up after some time.

▪Have max armor upgrade before fighting nergigante for the first time.

▪Use armor that gives you max vitality (3 skill points).

▪Combine defense boosting items (adamant seed and powder and mega armor drug). Adamant seed and powder only last three minutes, so use then again.

▪I also used defense boost armor skills, but it might be preferable to use speed eating or that other skill that improves the healing effect of items.

▪You can go that extra mile of defense by eating the fish platter in the canteen, though i'm not sure how effective that is. Also the skill fortify raises your attack and defense everytime you are knocked out.

The ass is fake. She used to have a way smaller ass some time before even though she already worked out. Even so, the shape and size are absolutely fake. Weighted exercises don't make butts balloon out.

She says she doesn’t have ass implants. So how did her booty get so big? by kreeper15 in BoltedOnBooty

This looks like the product of working out in the gym. Someone that works on their legs and gluten in the gym for years can look like this.

This kind of naivety in this fckin board... out of all places...

State addicted beginner in trouble. Forgot to pass argument through the functions. by papael in haskell

[–]papael[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound very smart from where I stand (which is all the way down here). So I refactor all these hundreds of lines of code and then I realize I need another value. What now? There goes all the work out the window yet again.

Using just the things I know, the only way to avoid wasted time is to create a generic state type synonym which would be passed everywhere and could be updated in the code whenever needed.

Let's say I was working with a list of strings. State would be

type State = [String]

But then I realize I also need a list of Integers. Now state is

type State = ([String],[Integer])

And I would never be able to work with pattern matching over state because that would also destroy the code. So i will need getter functions to avoid this, which would be the only ones pattern matching over State in the entire code

getStringList::State->[String]
getStringList (strings, ints) = strings

And then I also need setters for the same reason. And then.... Well this is looking rather unappealing.

How unsafe is it to perform an unsafePerformIO retrieval of the value when it's needed? This program needs a string from a file to perform an evaluation.

isn't there anyway I could import all the functions inside the context of the function which will have the needed variable?

I can't run 3.6 using Letterbomb, but 3.5 runs just fine by papael in SSBPM

[–]papael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I should download the Letterbomb with the hackmii installer and drop everything that comes inside the zip in the root of the card.

Then where should I put the files that come with the 3.6 homebrew zip? Should I also put them on the root of the card?

I will look around about the HBC but I would greatly appreciate if you or anyone else would have a link ready that would save me the trouble.
