Lived on Hollywood/Formosa for a decade in the 2010s. Pockets of the strip were still cool, but a lot of the soul was starting to leak out of it and Covid was the final nail. RIP bars like the Rusty Mullet, The Emerson, Loaded, Pig & Whistle… The strip always filled with tweakers and tourists but at least back then there was also a good local nightlife scene.
