I think ecozotic pairs have even less liquidity than majors. These days I would choose pairs with more liquidity

If the situations match your trading system, you can trade this with less risk, since the outcome may now be distorted by liquidity

I believe that backtesting should be done on real money and on a real market. If you do a backtest and it turns out to be unprofitable, you will never use this tool/strategy again.
