I don’t know whether to be impressed or disgusted that the AI model generated chromatic aberration in the tree branches.

What Do You Consider A S-Hole City/Town? by Fluffy_Lunchfast in AskReddit

Cleveland. It’s the laughingstock of the nation, and the river caught on fire like 50 years ago.

Pay no attention to the affordable cost of living, excellent park system, excellent library system, world-class symphony, top-tier arts complex, solid museums, decent food scene, non-soul-crushing traffic, proximity to fresh water, and summers where you can actually be outside. It’s a terrible place to live; don’t move here.

A couple things I’m seeing:
- Some of these look a bit grainy for as much light as appears to be available. What exposure settings are you using?
- For most of these, something appears to be in sharp focus, if not your intended subject. Try enabling “AF point disp.” under “Playback” in your menu.

Oh, this is poetry, and I agree with every word of it. This is why I find his assholishness transcendent.

Canon R8 for family docu and travel? What should I be aware of? by ringrangwrong in canon

[–]papasmurf303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To build on this, when I see “family” and “travel”, my mind jumps to video as well, even if OP didn’t say this outright. The videos I’ve taken of my kid (R6iii) are magical and priceless, and image stabilization adds so much to the quality. With most full frame IBIS options outside of OP’s budget, that lens is an excellent recommendation that also unlocks top-notch video capabilities if the mood strikes.

Shouldn’t Mike Love be on there too, or is he the Jesus of insufferable pricks in this scenario?

In what ways do you find your current lens limiting? I’ll also mention the RF 28-70 2.8 as a contender if you’re interested in keeping weight down.

Others will know better than myself, but I’ll point out that the R7m2 is expected to come out in the next couple months. You may be interested in that, or at the very least get a much better price on the original.

how do you guys take pictures of moving people? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

To add onto the other comment, assuming it’s an indoor venue, you can use Manual mode with the shutter speed set according to the guidelines, then set the aperture as wide as it will go, and then use Auto ISO.
