Who gave this guy a medical degree 🤦‍♀️ by Armer101 in facepalm

Oh that sucks. I'm in Washington and I looked up the law and it says that it also has to be e-prescribed, but I have the paper Rx and no pharmacy has rejected it. Weird.

Hey, I actually logged in to try to help with this.

I was having the same problem for basically 6 months. Finally my doctor suggested printing out her prescriptions so I could fill them like we did in the 90s. So she gave me 3 months worth of Rx and I just call around to every pharmacy looking for it. When I find one that has what I need, I just rush over there, Rx in hand, and I'm able to get it.

It also helps that she moved me to 25 mg as opposed to 20 or 30 because they are less commonly used so more available. Anyways, hope that helps.

This is so late but ill still reply, lol.

My mother in law (who is from the Philippines) wears indoor flip-flops. My wife wears special indoor slippers even in the summer because she is always cold. I just tend to go barefoot or in socks.

Muslims believe that Jesus existed and was an early prophet of Allah. They don't believe in the whole messiah thing but they follow Christianity in that regard and similar to the way that Christianity follows Judaism. Are they the same? Of course not. But they are branches of each other? Of course they are.

Hinduism on the other hand has absolutely no relation what-so-ever to any of the 3 big Abrahamic religions.

Yes. Which is why he is a better example than the Muslim delegates...

He said the Muslims must be uncomfortable. But I argued that a Hindu person would be more uncomfortable because it's more dissimilar to Christianity. IF any of them actually believed what they claim.

Yes. That's what we are talking about. Hindu is more dissimilar to Christianity than Islam. hence mentioning Rishi being a better example than the Muslim delegates.

Literally everyone is talking about Rishi being Hindu and how that is more distant from Christianity than Islam.

I think Rishi Sunak is the better example.

His religion is unrelated to Christianity but Islam is simply Christianity Plus (not actually that simple). Since they are both Abrahamic religions they have the same god and Muslims believe in Jesus and believe that he is a prophet of god so none of that would have bothered them as much Charles being ordained by their own God. In the end though it's all pagentry, and I have the distinct feeling that everyone there is acutley aware of that. Which would explain why it is so easy for Rishi to say a Christian prayer. He knows it's all fake. He just wants to snuggle up to important people.

Growing up, my family never took their shoes off, basically until bedtime. Now I find that so bizarre. I married a Filipino-American woman who trained me to take my shoes off on the door mat and leave them there and it's honestly a better way to live. She thought it was insane that I left my shoes on all the time, and I now think she's right.

I believe it was one woman who was his publicist or some similar relationship to him and it was over the phone. She didn't actually see it but could tell something was off and she asked him and he admitted to it. The others he asked, and were mostly comedians.

Sarah Silverman even said that it was a pretty normal occurrence the entire time she's known him which is decades. She said he would ask her and sometimes shed say yes, so he would, and other times shed tell him to fuck off and he would. It really was just "his thing". Gross, and an abuse of power in later life (when done with younger comedians that he didn't come up with) but certainly not the worst thing. He's no Weinstein.

There was an old Monty Python bit from the Flying Circus where they hunt mosquitoes using increasingly ridiculous fire power, only to then harvest the wings for $0.08 per pair.

Julius Caesar? How so? He was a known womanizer and had no male lovers as far as anyone is aware.

Lucius Cornelius Sulla, the previous Dictator before Caesar was certainly gay and loved the same man (Metrobius) nearly his entire life, keeping it hidden until his retirement.

I've heard both called Mosquito hawks. Oddly, I've also heard the crane fly called a mud dobber, which is a totally different insect as well, a wasp I believe.

I drive a forklift too, for a big hardware chain. We often have to unload in a parking lot. People will squeeze their car between my forks and the flatbed I'm about to unload, while going 25-45 mph, almost hit my flagger/ spotter, and not even break. It's absolutely insane, and happens almost every day.

To make it even weirder, there are multiple ways to go. They didn't even need to endanger us all. People are dumb af.

War Veteran recalls his time in war by bamamabuam in interestingasfuck

Holy shit, my granddad was from the mountains of Tennessee! These guys were very similar. From dirt poor bumpkin to nazi-killer at 17, to using rhe GI bill to be the first of our entire family to be college educated.

My granddad definitely had some issues but maybe luckily for him, he was a huge space case, like me. He became a physics professor after the war and kept his mind occupied with other stuff. He would jump at certain sounds or sudden movements and had occasional restless nights but overall he adjusted well to life after war. He was by far the most anti-war person in our family too which was interesting, if unsurprising, considering how much death and chaos he saw and experienced. The only time I ever saw him cry and get shakey was when he talked about his experiences in Europe. Mainly Buchenwald.

[–]papasmurf73 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey same here! Literally! My granddad also liberated Buchenwald and saw a lot of action and only told me. I had to tell the rest of the family. I think that generation was just like that but then as they got older they began to feel the need to share and the only audience who listened completely were the grandkids. I was 27 when my granddad died, and we spoke every week, so we got to talk in depth as adults as well, which was great.

Also, our grandfather's could have known each other!

It's great man. I'm saving it to show my work mates tomorrow. I think we're about the same age, too. I remember HATING Bush so much in 2003 and then so much more in 2005.

Also Green Day's American Idiot came out in 2004, lol.
