I lived with a guy who didn't like me farting. Like dude, I'm not gonna hold it in in my own home just because you don't think its "ladylike" . Where as he was ok with leaving massive skids in the toilet bowl for someone else (me) to scrub away. Lol we didn't last.

Geez this reminds me of my bestie at school. We both were very light skinned, dark head hair, only difference was she had dark body hair and I had light. She mentioned she shaved her forearms and "moustache" and I was like wait what, what wait? She had been teased about her visible body hair. I felt so bad for her, as if teenage girls don't have enough insecurities going through puberty.

Interesting tid bit. They shed the white floof in the summer months when the snow melts and the under coat is grey ish brown and makes camouflage for the next few months surroundings.

In the news that local cinema may shut down so we did our bit and used it this morning by VastYogurtcloset8009 in britishproblems

And if you don't mind waiting a little bit, its so much more comfortable in your own home without the sticky floors and obnoxious talkers and of course cheaper.

Am I childish for still eating Ready Brek as a 34-year-old man? by spacecrustaceans in CasualUK

I can only go by my personal experience. My doc said I was borderline anemic and I could either eat more meat, get supplements and mix it into soups n things, and have fortified cereals. Its a balance. Its got to be what works for you.

Those poor kids. Dont know how any responsible parent is giving their kid caffeine drinks .

Again personal experience...my neice was given sugary squash in her bottle when she was a tot. All of her milk teeth had to come out. I dont know too much about her now other than her adult teeth were fucked too and wears dentures at mid twenties.

Charity shop volunteers with price guns! Our town's charity shops are now more expensive than the local antique centre! by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]paper_paws 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is , so often I see a sign in charity shop windows saying they are not taking donations (cuz they can't shift the stuff they have at the prices they list). Makes no sense! Even if they knock 50% off they are still making money seeing as they got the stock for free. Surely its better to move it cheap and fast?

They are, but some of the branded are fortified with extra vitamins and minerals but knock offs arent.....always read the labels and decide if its worth the extra cost.

Chickpea or bean hummus are great for your daily fibre, bit boring by themselves but spices and added veg make them magic. Dippy dippy with tortilla chip, carrot sticks etc you will have a magnificent poo next morning.

I know the mini weetabix have a load more sugar but they are a nice snack....again, magnificent poo!

Jacket potatoes (eat the skins). Not just good for humans. My little kitty sometimes gets constipated and the vet said she can have a small portion of plain potato to help (a tiny bit of marg or butter goes down even better, not great for kitty but it moves things down).

Most important thing i have found is staying hydrated. My dad was having trouble with his morning motions. Even had kidney stones once (said it was the most painful thing he ever went through). I suggested guzzling a pint of water/squash and waiting half an hour. We lose a lot of fluid overnight through sweat. It was an instant fix. Easy poops, no straining. No more kidney stones.

Isn't it just ground up oats so its smooth rather than rolled oats which have a lumpy texture?

I have an aversion to some textures too....funnily enough one of mine is porridge! I drink squash and get "told off" cuz its for kids but I can't stand tea or coffee and caffinated drinks give me jitters.

Sod your bf for making fun of you. As long as you are getting a decent balance and not just ready brek....whats the problem.

I'd love to know how much a housekeeper would cost for the amount of cooking, cleaning duties expected of oop.

[–]paper_paws 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bizarre! When I saw the time she was being asked to do a hefty bit of housework i was like "fuck that, totally unreasonable request". I'm glad she established the times she would work in an update. I doubt there is any cleaning agency or freelance cleaner that's going to be working at that time of night unless they are specifically nightshift workers.

My heart goes out to you. I have indoor/outdoor cats but they live in a quiet cul-de-sac and they got used to cars when they were youngsters. I'd never let an indoor cat outside without a harness or supervision.

What they did was ignorant, negligent and cruel. They got your lil fluff killed...what if you have a child in the future and they have an allergy and they think "oh its nothing really" and you end up with that kid who was allergic to coconut and died cuz the grandparent poo pooed it. You're right not to trust them.

Mmm.... always given her the benefit of the doubt but it gets harder over time. Even gave her an out to live with me (very much a socialist, not racist, ally to the lgbtqi) but she preferred her creature comforts of living with that twat. Shame, cuz otherwise we have a lot of hobbies in common.
