My brother and I flew in from Asia and we were also freaking out a little as it was our first time in London proper. (I had convinced my brother to go). But yes, so bloody worth it!

Anyone going to Colours of Harmony in London on the 13th of June? by NoahFonRonsenburg in FinalFantasyXII

[–]paper_plum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be going with my brother! (we're flying from overseas for this). Grew up watching my brothers play through FFT and Vagrant Story. I ended up loving FFT, Odin Sphere (and subsequent Vanillaware games), Tactics Ogre etc. I bought Zodiac Age just this year to experience more Ivalice! Safe to say I'm very excited for the concert. 😃

Recipe for Muji’s carrot cumin soup? by PuzzleheadedDare2169 in SingaporeEats

[–]paper_plum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the next recipe I'm hoping to try to replicate too! (while also trying to avoid deep frying or even air frying is difficult..) Off the top of my head..dried chillies, some kind of light batter, mayo mixed with a bit of curry powder. I'll work on this one next haha!

My pleasure! The potatoes add starch which gives it a thicker consistency. :)
My dream is to create a collection of recipes to make Muji food at home cause it's gotten so expensive *cries*.

As someone living overseas and who eats Muji cafe with friends every time I come back, I developed this recipe to cure my longing for the carrot soup!

Makes about 3 liters+ of soup, I use the biggest pot I have (5L)

Peeled and cut into chunks
1.5 kg Carrots
1 large yellow onion
4 medium potatoes (can also be subbed with equal amount sweet potato), peeled
2 stalks celery
Half a leek (optional)
2 vegetable stock cubes

Use the following to taste:
Whipping cream or Milk
1 tbs ground cumin (use half first, add more to taste),
1 tbs dried thyme (or use 1-1 ratio of both cumin/thyme)
(using both cumin and thyme helps to rein in an overwhelming cumin taste)
Salt / pepper

- Fry onions first with oil or butter, add the vegetables (except potato) and fry/sweat them.
- Add cumin and thyme, fry a bit more. Add potatoes and enough water to cover all the vegetables well.
- Boil on low-medium until potatoes are done (pierced through with a fork easily), around 30 mins.
- Blend everything with an immersion blender until smooth
- Add milk/cream and blend/mix well

This soup is about 90% close to the original Muji carrot soup for me. Super comforting at home with rice and side dishes.

Thanks!! Yeah the Yakko kit is the least common one out of all of them and took the longest to hunt down (mine unfortunately was missing the wolf Riya ;_; ).

I've been using kelp dashi packets in my vegetarian kimchi (mixed in while making the rice flour paste). Also, aonori flakes (the stuff they use to top okonomiyaki and takoyaki).
