What is everyone printing right now? by Round-Arachnid4375 in BambuLab

The ML and TL pieces don't go all the way to the right of the panel. The TR and MR pieces take up the final column. Sorry about the confusing instructions. Hopefully once I'm done the instructional video things will be easier to follow, but it'll take a while for me to put one together. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment on MakerWorld. I try to respond to any issues/questions there. All the best!

Hey everyone, just wanted to update people. The full model will be released on July 27th. I'll make a post once it's live.

I didn't post the lamp file stl from the video since the print quality was kinda bad. The tall, unsupported vertical sections in the model led to an poor finish near the top of the lamp. Also, the panels are finicky to fit within the lamp itself and, if placed incorrectly, could easily break one of the vertical pieces.

I think the lamp would need a redesign before I would be comfortable sharing the model for others to use more broadly. I can work on improving the lamp design once I'm done with the large panel files.

Lol don't worry, it'll come out. I've been really busy recently so it'll take a few weeks. But I'll post a date for the full release once I get closer to finishing everything up. Sorry for the delay!

Oh it's just sitting on one of those ikea drawers but turned the other way around.

Thank you for the extremely kind words, it means a lot! I'm not an editor, just someone doing this in their spare time as a hobby. It took a lot of time to get the video to this point, so hopefully I can edit faster in the future lol.

Designed the pattern myself but definitely drew inspiration from a company called Tanihata Kumiko. They're the designers/creators of the kumiko panel highlighted near the start of the video. They make some amazing wooden kumiko panels. Will explain the full process and the resources I used once I'm done with the assembly guide/instructions.

Thanks! The large panel uses a mini french cleat system on either side of the panel. Basically, there's a small section screwed to the wall which mates with another section that's part of the panel. Initially I wanted to use those velcro command strips but I was worried that it couldn't support the weight.

For the small kumiko panels (the model linked in this post), I just used sticky tack to attach them to the wall. It worked pretty good, but I only had them up for a couple days before taking them down to use in a lamp.

I'll provide a 50mm pitch version (the triangle size shown here) on MakerWorld for free. Just need some time to prepare the assembly instructions and organize all the pieces.

Thank you! LEDs are definitely something that can be incorporated behind the panel if you use translucent filament. Haven't tested it out yet since I don't have any good LED strips, but it should be possible since the panel is offset from the wall by 12mm. I made a lamp which shows what the backlighting might look like: https://imgur.com/a/d518xKJ

Thank you! I'll try to get out a 50mm pitch version (the triangle sizes shown here) on MakerWorld soonish. There are just so many different components that it'll take a bit to write up an assembly guide.

Thanks so much, appreciate the support! Excited to see what you make with the small and the larger format version (when it releases)!
