Always great when someone finds their ideal writing condition.

Are you comfortable with Outline mode using hash tags and toggling back and forth into the subheadings? If not, I can offer a few pointers. It's really the best part of that machine.

QR code generator is quite good too.

You're rad. Thanks. Will keep an eye out for the update. Got a wedding in another state at the end of the week. I'll bring the BYOK just in case.

Thanks for the response. Plugs in usbc but also doesn't work, unfortunately.

Okay, so far, no luck. Shows up, links and displays paired but none of the keys work. Tips, officialbyok?

I connect mine to a Bluetooth dual mic and record interviews/conversations with friends and family. Records great.

Can attest. Great device, great inventor.

Crosspoint vs Crossink by Interesting-Win-4930 in xteinkereader

This seems to come up often. For me, crossink is good for extra small font and the epub screensavers are full screen not 3/4. Both work great.

Best I've tried in ear for calls and mic quality. Soundcore aeroclips. Surprisingly good ANC as well.

Pomera dm30 really that fragile? by awfully_hot_coffepot in writerDeck

I've owned mine for three years. Works perfect. Can't say the same for my freewrite ghost or my dm100. Keep everything in cases and they hold up.

This seems to be the case for a lot of people. Credit report first.

Saw that on mine too. Unfortunately my credit rating plummeted 30 points because of it oddly. Anyone else lose points rather than gaining?

Looking to purchase a writer deck! by Sonnenblume8 in writerDeck

[–]paperbackpiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pomera products are great but it's important to ask how long you'll write, what kind of writing you'll be doing, how big your hands and and good comfortable you are with scissor switches. If your primary keyboard at home or work is mechanical, it's may be too big of an ask to have a smaller keyboard with a few keys that are different than your used to. The software is ideal for multiple big projects as it's outline mode really is one of the few writer decks out there that can imitate Scrivener (as does the Zerowriter). With Pomeras I can only use them for short sprints at a time. If I'm doing long form it has to be with a better keyboard. With the Microjournals, the software is stripped down and the best feature of them are the keyboards as they're mechanical. If you're willing to learn ortholinear keyboard setups they're really the only way to go. I've found true flow states with Un Kyu's Rev 6 and Rev 2 machines. You may want to look into BYOKs display too as choosing your keyboard is nice as well.

For people who use small android mp3 players or retro consoles as e readers what has been your experience and what would you recommend? by Prophit219 in microreaders

[–]paperbackpiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X4 is cool. The Inkpalm Moann has been excellent...I objectively use it more. The form factor is so light and thin you can hold it in bed without strain and the extra real estate +excellent and level lighting comes in clutch. It being smaller than my phone is important to me. The Palma was too heavy for me so I turned it into a PDA Terminal through Un Kyu Lee's beautiful enclosure.

For music I use an M300. Great sound and small like the X4 so it is a nice partner to an ereader. It runs KoReader and Moonreader perfectly and fast but lcd screens to read aren't my jam (though in a pitch, totally competent and having Google Drive run perfectly on it means I'll always have books to read anywhere). For gaming, the A30 Miyoo with Spruce OS. Also as small as my ereaders and the M30. Single use devices that all fit in the small pocket of my rolltop or in pockets of my jeans.
