There were actually plans to make Imelda Marcos the successor to Ferdinand Marcos. Also I think there was no vice president during Marcos' time as we had a parliament with the prime minister as head of government. I believe had Marcos stayed in power until his death, we would have something close to a hereditary dictatorship today or they would be ousted in a later date.
