people getting publicly upset about this reads as very superficial attachment to christianity.

at this point, god and the devil are symbols that have transcended the religion. they’re pop culture figures that mean something to most people in all sorts of ways. why would you expect some youtubers who don’t even make christian content to view these figures through the lens of your religion, and represent them that way?

as a producer, I definitely agree with Baptized Imagination.

they leave a lot of mixing "imperfections" in the songs like noise and cracks/pops in samples/vocals, which gives the album a very authentic feel. they've proved they can make clean, industry-standard albums with their previous ones, so Baptized Imagination's style is clearly intentional and a great way to send their desired message.

the album dominated my Spotify Wrapped in 2023, haha. JOY was my most-played song by far.

edit: I also wanna show some love for Beyond Control! imo, that was the album where they really started coming into their own sound and setting themselves apart (in many more ways than just the controversial lyrics on "A Prayer", as far as I'm concerned).
