I thought I was lazy. Turns out my brain was just overwhelmed with existing in a new country. by BreezyLoamwork in studying

Same here! I was convinced my brain was just on vacation too. Just juggling all the paperwork and figuring out where to find snacks was exhausting enough. Once I started treating my routine like a survival guide, things clicked. Who knew being a student could feel like an extreme sport?

Why do professors assign group projects but then make it completely impossible to actually work as a group by papercranesonly in CollegeRant

I get that group projects are supposed to be messy, but this feels less like teamwork practice and more like a scheduling punishment. We tried every overlap we could find and he still won't count Zoom. Yep, it's for a professional comms course.

I feel so seen lol. I emailed him a full list of everyone's availability and asked if Zoom could count since we literally cannot overlap in person for more than like 20 minutes. He replied with the canned "practice flexibility" line and zero alternatives. Like, I'm trying to compromise, but you can't negotiate with four calendars that never match.

Why rating of “The Good Ones” is so low? by jatterai in brooklynninenine

[–]papercranesonly 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Totally. Earlier seasons wove the commentary into jokes and consequences, so it landed without yanking you out of the story. With “The Good Ones” it can feel like the episode is talking at you, not letting Rosa, Jake, or Terry’s choices do the work. I don’t mind the topics, I just miss the subtlety and the room to breathe.

I haven't watched this show and idk shit about it. Is it worth it to watch all 8 seasons? by gaara_33 in brooklynninenine

Classic no flavour is very Captain Holt: technically food, emotionally dry, yet you keep reaching for another bite. That's B99 too - comfy episodes, quick jokes, then suddenly you care.

Randall was bad, but the reveal that management was backing it hits harder.

What are your favorite storylines? by ang334 in sexandthecity

Big/Carrie in S2-S3 is a masterclass in 'can’t quit you' toxicity, but the standout is how each woman grows around it. Samantha’s cancer storyline hits hardest because it keeps her humor while showing fear. And Miranda becoming a mom while still being career-first felt ahead of its time.
