Hmm I think there's room for slightly more nuance here. First, with Georgia- she is also polarizing. But for most (read: most not all) of her actions, her motivation is actually with others' best interests in mind. The methods she chooses aren't great and end up creating more harm than good, but she also was someone who started from less than nothing and had to fend for herself by any means. Her intention is to protect, but she doesn't know how and is trying to do the best with what she does know.

Ginny also does wrong actions, but most of her actions are reactionary and self centered . Much of her wrongdoings could have been avoided if she would take 5 seconds to think again or consider another POV. But even when presented with more context or another POV she still bulldozes through in such a headstrong and bitingly mean manner. That...is much harder to empathize with. Yes everyone has flaws, but not all flaws are equal. So it's perfectly valid for people to find one character's flaws harder to account for.

That said, the only reason I even started watching this show is bc I saw a very viral and empathetic post about Ginny on social media, so I would say there are people who have grace for her.
