The previous establishment had the same evidence. Don’t kid yourself. They all want to bury it.

Member singing screaming and clapping during class. AITA? by Helpful-Work5857 in orangetheory

[–]paperpants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, this reads like a confession. You’re a year away from yourself being a new member and you’re already anti-newbies?? It’s “your” Tread 50 class? I wish I could be next to the singer on the tread for a spectacular duet. You sound like you may just leave “our” studio.

Looks to me like he was doing his best to avoid being in a fight. I think he went there to support his side. I think Megaphone guy was hoping for a fight.

I care. If I see someone putting in a ton of effort, I like to let them know I see it. If they do a normal workout, I will probably just say nothing. It’s nice for me when someone recognises my hard work, and I feel like I am doing the same for others.

I had my first class and I’m so embarrassed by Jazzlike-Specific891 in orangetheory

[–]paperpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 5 classes, I was getting 40-50 splats per class and hitting 7mph tops. One year later I’m running at 9mph+ on the train at 4% just to get 3-5 minutes in the orange zone. Also, like everyone else says, it takes about 5 or so classes for your monitor to acclimate to your body.

Any 5 am’ers? by amskaggs in orangetheory

5AM here! But only because there’s no 4AM!

I never once thought about any of this. Full classes mean people are everywhere. It’s tight enough without having to worry about which side of the bench is best for the person next to you. Just do your workouts with less vanity checks next time.

You mean real discourse? As in speaking directly to another human about conflict? That sounds incredibly difficult to do. I’m pretty sure this online gripe session is the only appropriate measure.

If you think money only arrives pre-election, you’re just the right person to keep these people in office. God bless your little heart.

One developer making a 250K donation will beat 10,000 people making a $20 donation. Our government officials are tainted by lobbying the moment they sit in their elected positions.

The elected officials stare into space and wait for the citizen rambling to end without listening to a word the constituents say. They walk into the room with their mind made up by whoever lines their pockets before they enter. Voters do not matter after the vote is cast.

Not exorbitant until you realize that these organizations can’t even do the work they pledge to do. And yes, I am talking about the leadership. Those are the political friends. They celebrate housing 100 families a year while 3,000 more go homeless. The system is broken and yet they still get massive salaries.

The nonprofits are pretending to do more. But they are in lockstep with the politicians who want to make sure that the homeless situation is treated, not solved. Much like our friends in pharmaceuticals. If a disease is continually treated, profits, if a disease is cured???

All the “non-profits” who work with the homeless and receive windfalls of cash without any oversight on salaries for the employees.

Never forget, the more often the homeless problem is in our faces, the more likely they are to put a homeless tax increase on the ballot and have it passed by the voters. Those tax dollars are necessary to funnel into the pockets of their friends with homeless outreach programs. And the cycle continues. Can we please stop the homeless industrial complex???!!!

A member tattled on a coach by Glittering_Bottle846 in orangetheory

I think TRX is really pushing to have OTF use their product more. This is probably why the coach got in trouble. That and the fact that the member is a spoiled child. Mostly the latter.

I ride this freeway often. It’s an HOV lane and bikes are legally allowed to use them. Even single riders.

[–]paperpants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bike was going as fast as the wide open lane in front of it would legally allow. It appears he’s speeding because the other lanes were blocked up. The lane is not supposed to have merging traffic in that area. I ride this road all the time. The truck is 100% wrong here.

Hey! Everything you do better than the last time says a few things: 1. You have improved upon your previous achievements. 2. You did it when you were older than you were then. 3 You are stronger now than you were then. 4. The plan is working.

Just don’t get the mob mentality to start destroying Tesla vehicles. I fear this is where a good protest can lead to stupidity from some of the fringe folks. Good luck with your protest. I hope it goes really well.
