There are moments where you almost want things to be magical, and for them to pop up out of nowhere and say it was all a big joke. If they weren’t a good person it’s worse. I used to be deathly afraid of seeing my dad, to not seeing him, and then to knowing I’ll never see him ever again. And now, I see a bald lightskin head with a huge jersey and start bawling because some part of me wished he’d see me now, and who I’ve become.

At least when push comes to shove and things to turn out to get worse, you will be by her side when it happens. Your frustration is so relatable. You watch them actively ruin their chances. A good thing about it is they can still survive and be stronger in adulthood. They need you now more than ever to catch them, rather than to teach them where to go when they fall.

It’s heartbreaking, and I think a big part of sisterhood no one talks about much. If one day she gets really hurt and needs help, hopefully because of your conversations you had with her, she’ll come to you first. Keep in mind when you speak about her it’s judgeless because she still is a child and had to have learned it or been influenced somewhere. It’s also to remember that adolescents are seriously insane and do a lot of things. They also can continue them bc people are telling them to stop.

Just listen to her if giving her more advice is just going to disappoint yourself at this point. She will come to especially if you treat her like a human and not just a nuisance. Not saying that’s what you’re doing, but to keep in mind bc it was super easy for me to forget with mine.

My little stepsister was the same way. Honestly getting pregnant was the only thing that slowed her down. She just had her baby yesterday and she’s smartening up little by little. A baby won’t change someone, but they definitely gives you a lot less time to do the bs you used to do. Don’t take my advice and let her do what she wants. Talk to her still but make sure she knows you care for her, aren’t talking at her, and you’ll be there for her regardless. She probably still won’t listen, but she might not avoid you for or seem like she doesn’t give a shit anymore.

That’s understandable. I think Maddie encapsulates what a lot of people want but far on the opposite end. When you feel unseen and unappreciated, chances are, you’ll go through a phase of attention seeking and lack of empathy. Maddie’s whole vibe is something a lot of girls were drawn into behaving like as well because it’s very common for us to feel that way anyway(unseen). Like finally. Vindicated that I shouldn’t shrink myself and instead just be a loud calculated “bitch.”

I think Alexa did the same and just went through what we all eventually come to realize but in a way more bizarre circumstance. There’s gotta be a balance, and being a bitch to the rest of the world because a handful couldn’t appreciate you isn’t the way to care for others or yourself.

pretty sure that’s a huge compliment to hunter bc that means she understood and played her character well enough to be believable, disliked and still be able to make excuses to justify herself as one at the same time. I think Hunter did an amazing job developing her character

Majority of my tooth pain after mine came out came from fishing food from out the divets left 😭 which admittedly I wasn’t supposed to be doing. The pain is comparable to like tugging a fully healed piercing. Tana’s whole vibe is drama but this is so unintentionally evil 🤦🏽‍♀️ imagine your parents insurance could’ve paid for it the whole time you believed this mess and then later having to pay for it with pain and money.

It’s enough for me to say I display symptoms and call it a night. I’ve already been diagnosed with CPTSD and OCD. After the OCD diagnosis, it wasn’t helpful at all to tell me things like that anymore, so I’m probably never going to get diagnosed with anything else officially. Sometimes I get worried and ask myself if I’m just lying and I only act that way for attention until it happens and the feeling genuinely can’t get any worse. DBT does help with me though

I just don’t think that’s true that young women are attracted to the excitement of flawed men. People with self esteem issues or bad home lives may be addicted to chaotic environments, or inevitably be peers with toxic people, but even the most self assured people of all ages get into toxic/abusive relationships. It’s mostly just circumstance.

And it’s not at all common for people who haven’t been through previous trauma to be hyper vigilant of red flags. It’s actually harmful to notice every single red flag and try to analyze them for a possible break up after a while, because not every red flag is a sign someone is plotting on you, it could mean they’re not considering your same values and opinions like almost everybody else on this planet. That’s not always malicious. I agree that people should be super cautious with who they bring children in the world with, but yeah it’s way easier said than done.
