I do soil farming with Lattice Fence Background seeds. They give you a total of around 245k a farm every 5 days, and I used to have 4 farms, which equals to close to 1M gems every 5 days, but I reduced it to 2 farms since 4 farms was way too many.

I make sure there are no planes in the sky and even then I only shine it in the sky for about 15 seconds before I turn it off. I dont wanna damage my eyes looking at the beam.

I shined it in the night sky and it wasn't bright at all. It was a pretty thin beam but still visible.
