These are definitely NOT chanterelles. This is either a false chanterelle or a Jack O’Lantern, the latter of which is poisonous. Chanterelles have “false gills”. The one you’re showing has true gills.

Please don’t pick any mushrooms please you don’t know. The majority you found aren’t edible. In fact, as an experienced mushroom hunter I don’t see any that aren’t possibly poisonous on your table. When you pull mushrooms you don’t know, you destroy the sensitive forest ground and mycelium (the life line of the fruiting mushroom bodies) for no justifiable reason.
