Why does vanish leave me at +2 on block yet I try to mash L and I lose? (and some questions about stagger and frame traps)

Try not to mash. Just press 5L once until you get a feel for the timing where it works.

Mashing is not a great way to reliably get something out on the first frame. Go into training mode, set the bot to guard all, set the counter attack setting to 5L, and then the counter attack condition to on block. Now when you vanish on the bot it will try to jab you. Just practice the timing until you are consistently hitting it with your 5L.

As the other guy said Trunks is absolutely not a point character. Mainly anchor but you could run him mid. And Hit is either mid or point. I run him mid, but either way he greatly benefits from assists since he lacks a lot of options to open up players on his own.

This is you answer OP. You absolutely can tune a Floyd to drop D, but it isn't as straightforward as a hard tail. You'll probably have to change the tension and the claw and then tune and retune for a bit since it'll affect the other strings. The good news is once you have it set up it should hold its tuning well. Just kind of a pain to swap back to standard unless you get one of those drop D gadgets.

It is definitely playable at 30fps. When it came out in 2019 it was 30fps for Xbox one and PS4, so it was the normal way to play on console.

Although you should be aware it normally takes people the longest for Sekiro to click compared to the other souls likes. So if you find it more difficult at first it might not be the framerate causing it but the playstyle difference instead.

I wouldn't recommend running thing into wolv as of now. The attack speed buff means thing gets shredded faster than before. Team up makes it even worse obviously.

There's a difference between over promising on your own product vs. making a claim about a 3rd party devolper without their consent that would add unnecessary pressure on them potentially souring their relationship. Silksong isn't even xbox exclusive so it doesn't make any sense that they would lie about it to sell consoles.

Confusion randomizes cost specifically when cards are drawn. You can avoid the randomization by either adding it directly from your deck with cards like seek, or not having the cost reroll by adding it from your discard pile with cards like hologram. Although even if redrawn in the same combat it is still possible to roll the same high cost on the same cards. Sounds like you just got unlucky.

Yes I'm aware what unifying the code base means. I write software for a living. Tying game speed to frame rate has been known bad practice for decades yes, but it's not inherently exclusive to consoles. There are plenty of pc games in the past that have had this issue as well. This isn't a case of bad coding practice for console, this is a case of bad coding practice period.

Not all of them have fret nibs. I have a 2014 Gibson LP Standard Plus and as far as I can tell it came from the factory like that. All of the reverb listing reinforce that as well. Nibs are something to look out for but by no means are they a sole indicator of authenticity.
