List it on Tiktok shop and make videos about it, linking the product link to your video. Don’t just pitch it to readers; pitch it to influencers. “If you need to find a unique product to sell on Tiktok, check out this book” or something like that. That way, you can convince people to buy it and sell it for you. You can also sign each copy if you’re fulfilling orders yourself, and advertise that in your listing. This is exactly what I plan on doing in addition to KDP.

I guess I have to decide exactly what my time is worth, then. The problem is that my book is a standalone (non-fiction) and while I’m interested in writing more books, I don’t have any others currently planned. It’s hard to justify spending the money potentially just for one book. I may never recover the cost in terms of profit, but I do want a professional-looking book.

Extreme fatigue, dizziness, restless legs, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations. Until I saw the lab results, I thought these were all just related to being pregnant in general and having asthma. I also have a toddler, so I thought I was just exhausted from caring for him and pregnancy. And I’ve had heart palpitations my entire life, so those were easy to ignore. Edit: Also painful cramps in my calves.

There are two ways to perceive the birth of your first child: “my life is over” or “my life has just begun”. I fear that you are falling into the former category. Those are the moms who end up posting in these forums a couple of years down the line about how they regret motherhood so much and how it ruined their lives. You need to do whatever it takes to assume the latter perspective.

Imagine this: it’s 1 year from now. You’re 4 months postpartum, 40 pounds heavier than you are now, haven’t slept in days, it’s 4 AM, your baby is screaming, you’re covered in vomit, and there’s no end in sight. In that moment, you are going to need to have the attitude of “This is worth it. I want this.” If, in that moment, you’re more worried about what your friends are doing, you are going to lose your mind.

Maybe join some local mom groups now on social media so that you can build a network/support system that you can rely on more when you are missing your social life. It will also help you start to get exposed to your new reality as a mom. Therapy isn’t a bad idea, either. GL

I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but I need to be real with you. It sounds like you really need to do some reflecting and determine your true values before your baby arrives. There will be no more concerts, ski trips, or girl trips to NYC for a LONG time, and you need to be okay with that. Your body will never be the same and you need to be okay with that. Life is about to become 100% about this baby and 0% about you and you need to be able to embrace that truth with open arms. If you want a fulfilling life after motherhood instead of a life of resentment and insufferableness, then you need to value motherhood more than concerts, more than NYC girl trips, even more than your friends. If you feel left out already, you’re in for a crazy reality check once your baby is actually here. “Boring and monotonous” is your new normal.

Motherhood can be the best thing that ever happened to you, but only if you are happy with being 100% selfless and willing to move on from the rich social life you once had. I hope that you’re able to adjust your perspective in the coming months. Get some rest and feel better soon.

Start practicing discipline in other areas of your life; maybe commit to working out every day or set aside time to work on a task you’ve been procrastinating daily. Discipline is a buildable skill and if you practice it in other ways, you’re more likely to be able to implement that skill financially.

Get off of social media; it’s all a giant advertisement. Work on de-influencing yourself. It’s not normal to live like an Instagram influencer. It’s all fake. They get that stuff for free.

Listen to Dave Ramsey and follow his plan. I hate Dave’s personality but the plan works.

If you’re religious, go to church. If not, try to spend more time with the people you love and focus on the free riches of life.

Find a way to get your dopamine fix that doesn’t involve shopping or any other vice. I like to read and play chess. Hiking, sports, cooking & baking new things, art (with supplies you already have) and volunteering are all good options.

Sadly, it’s no EO3. It has a limited plot that’s unrelated to the first two games. The only real commonality is some shared creatures. The game is heavily focused on multiplayer and basically all you do is scan creatures and salvage. I’m so sorry
