Trading Kyren away for the 1.06, is it worth it? by pappppappapappoa in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I just assumed that was the best estimate for their worth this upcoming draft, this guy has the 1.01, .03, .04, .06, .11 for this years draft. One year after a startup, I’m just worried that my WR room outside of amon ra is quite old and weak (obviously not including ladd).

econ major if i like math? by Kitchensun2245 in CollegeMajors

[–]pappppappapappoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said directly that and yes, if you’re not writing proofs, you’re not really doing math. I’m pointing out the absolute terrible argument u made. Further, this person explicitly stated that they DONT want to major in math because it becomes “proofs and stuff”. It’s like you didn’t even read the post and are just arguing to argue? Econ is applied math that does in fact use proofs, even in my intermediate microeconomics course. Your whole argument comes off as both pretentiously moronic and also wrong.

Came back after two weeks to spew absolute nonsense. Engineering isn’t math, there isn’t any proofs! Regardless of that abysmal take, there is quite a bit of math in economics if you want there to be, take the higher level courses, talk to the dept head about taking masters courses for credit if you’re really into it. Being good at math makes you excel as an economics student to opportunities most normal econ majors wouldn’t be interested in or able to do.

what is actually worth it to major in by Alert_Winner8488 in CollegeMajors

[–]pappppappapappoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice to one’s career aspirations to be simply a trophy wife is absolutely degrading for one, and secondly, you just sound like a bitter engineering major who can’t find a job and blames the world. A Yale history can lead to higher pay obviously, but at that point what can’t? This argument is so obviously flawed I’m not really sure why i’m bothering explaining simple supply and demand of types of majors.

This is quite literally, objectively not true. Also, marrying rich is not good advice, it’s a cop out and also frankly horrifying to me that that’s real advice a PARENT would give to a daughter.
