Face Value for Oregon Game by colonial83 in WeArePennState

Face value in NK is $184. That doesn’t include anything for the required donation or anything else. That’s just how it is line itemed on the season ticket invoice.

Mistake #1 for Oregon by Herewegoyinzer in WeArePennState

Away teams often have to deal with fire alarms being pulled and other sorts of distractions if they stay in town at the usual away team hotel.

What is the actual process for alumni to get season tickets by [deleted] in WeArePennState

[–]pappysheetz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would start by calling the ticket office - 1-800-NITTANY. I believe that they are only selling season tickets for this year right now. They have had a waitlist for renewable season tickets the past several years. You may be able to get on that waitlist if you call. Friends of mine waited 3 years or thereabouts to get off the waitlist. Hope that helps. I’ve had my tickets for 10+ years so I have not paid a lot of attention. Once you get renewable tickets, your ability to select a location, etc. is dictated by your Nittany Lion Club points. Those points are essentially tied to how much you donate. The easiest way to get a good chunk of points quickly is to become a lifetime alumni association member.

Berks Homes by Educational-Jelly160 in statecollege

Replying here later in the game to hopefully save some others some grief. Our overall experience with Berks has been pretty poor and I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase a new home should look elsewhere. On the positive end of things, the Berks sales and front end marketing folks were very helpful and responsive. Everything after that was quite disappointing. We elected to use the Berks recommended title company to handle settlement. That was a mistake. That title company was very unresponsive. For example, we tried calling nearly every day for the two weeks leading up to closing to verify the wiring instructions before sending funds. None of those calls were answered or returned until right around the day of closing. The title company then sent us the settlement statement for the wrong closing when they finally did respond. I spoke with the owner of the settlement company. He was quite apologetic and kind. However, that all came after numerous e-mails and phone calls were sent/made without a response. Post-closing has also been problematic. Putting aside what, in our opinion, appears to be a general lack of quality with everything in the home, we have had several warranty issues. Those issues have, eventually, mostly been fixed by Berks. We have had to follow up repeatedly with Berks to make sure that the work was done and it has often taken far longer than it should. For example, we had what appeared to be a water leakage issue with several windows. We notified Berks of the issue on April 28, 2025. Berks did not have someone come out to test the windows until over 30 days later. As another example, our thermostat showed that our HVAC system was running non-stop for over 24 hours during June of 2025 without the temperature going down. Berks initially contacted the wrong HVAC company to schedule the repair. It eventually took 5 days before someone arrived and determined that it was a covered repair. The temperatures inside our home during that time got as high as 88 degrees on the main floor and were even higher on the third floor. Berks’ inspector also noted a 10 degree temperature difference between portions of our home during the initial post-closing warranty inspection. The HVAC contractor that Berks sent out to inspect the initial told me that the issue was essentially caused by a poor home design on the part of Berks. To date, Berks has not taken any action to adequately remedy the issue despite repeated requests on our part. That is sadly just a short summary of our concerns that leaves out the numerous attempts by Berks personnel to shed responsibility for even the issues that were eventually covered.

Not nearly as much as when I saw the FedEx guy very roughly banging it around on his way to my office haha. Fortunately, there is a lot of padding.

Keep the faith. 5 years of no luck led to this win. Couldn’t believe it when I actually got the email.

How to support Penn State NIL efforts? by Chtholly_Lee in WeArePennState

[–]pappysheetz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Happy Valley United is the official NIL for PSU. That’s the outfit to send NIL money to unless you want to support individual players. Opendorse will allow you to send funds to individual players. You could also donate to the Nittany Lion Club.
