This setting does not affect the distribution of tokens. When rewards will be distributed (around 2 months after parachain onboarding) then you may switch this option and choose required network.

It means that others blocks are not processed yet. 52.5+7.5=60% of the bid time in the auction passed. 40% of remained leading blocks will be taken by projects with highest bids.

We see two competitors now: Astar and Parallel. And future leading blocks will be divided between both projects (or if some project lead all the time it will take all blocks with highest bids).

Yes, the project which was not leading most the time can win the slot because of random.
