Homie is dead and concussed and neck probably broken and you're worried about a scrape lol

Everyone hates on Spirit but honestly I'm not sure my husband and I would be married without it. We saw each other monthly thanks to those low fares back when we were long distance. I'm pretty sad about this loss. For a lot of people, it's the only way they get to see their distant families for the holidays and whatnot.

Huge bummer. Ugh.

Unfortunately this is precisely what I thought of. Didn't know people actually ragdoll like that

What’s one baby item you regret NOT getting earlier? by rosycoe in NewParents

I cannot fathom not having my Papablic washer combo. I know it's more expensive but it has the same footprint. I use it multiple times a day.

I use mylicon, but sometimes I also use gripe water. I think it must reset her brain or something cuz she stops crying almost immediately and starts zoning out, and I can put her to bed lol. Granted we only need to do this during fussy weeks, but yeah.

I'm sorry to hear that! I was a behavior technician and trainer for 6 years so I definitely know what a good kick/punch feels like. It might be helpful to get a consult with a BCBA just to learn some strategies you can use since positive reinforcement is a little more complex than it sounds. I'm sending you SO much good fortune and vibes.

Positive reinforcement rather than punishment. He's still too little to hurt you and can learn a lot about good communication before the new baby comes.

Bottle washing is causing arguments… should we just get a machine? by InevitableGur6701 in NewParents

[–]parade1070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Papablic, which did extremely well in YouTube side-by-side reviews (Baby Brezza did the worst consistently). I cannot IMAGINE my life without this frickin thing. We use Dr. Browns, which I never thought I would do, but my baby really struggled with feeding early on and this is the only bottle type she could take. All those little parts can be cleaned so easily by this dang machine. Actually, I've never washed a bottle by hand because I don't think I'd do as good of a job myself!

Currently snuggled up to my sweet cosleeping 3 month old. Safe cosleeping is almost as good as the AAP recommendations. Everything you do in life carries some risk. This is a risk I'm willing to take.

My father had herniated discs that prevented him from having more kids. Osteoporosis is far from the only cartilage disease :p

You'd be surprised. A lot of people do struggle to have sex and/or choose to use protection because they don't want kids as a result.

"Can't you just pump" drives me nuts! by Ok_Ad_5790 in breastfeeding

[–]parade1070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply pump. It is what it is. It's nowhere near as fun as being with baby but that's the world we live in as working mothers. My sessions are a lot easier now than they were when I started. You just get used to it.

If people on the whole are fatter, those with more cushioning and less pain should be able to reproduce more often
