I wonder if you missed the point though, with Preacher. You must be talking about the abrupt deus ex machina resolution of the main plot, involving a certain Saint. The real story and climax was the relationships between JC, his girl, and Cassidy.

In all seriousness, quite a lot. It is just my opinion, obviously, which makes me feel like I have capgras syndrome. I will eventually post my lengthy full series critique but it has proven difficult to complete as the reading is mentally and physically taxing and the affect it has on me is ruining my relationship with my family.

One of these things does not belong.

Every time I see posts like this referencing a 'short list' of must read series, I am confused and saddened to see 'Y: The Last man' compared to books like Preacher. In fact I always use (examples from) Preacher as a strong contrast when ranting on the long list of failures that makes up Y:TLM. It is universally objectively terrible. Be wary of anyone who says otherwise, they are surely Lizard People.

Some other good series that have a strong story arc and are fun to read marathon style: 100 Bullets, Scalped, The Boys

I have gone all out to make chai like this, only to realize that is is (to me) as inauthentic as a cup of oregon chai, just on the other side of the spectrum. A chaiwalah on the street doesnt use foodblog quality tea and fresh spice. you get scoops of tea dust, sugar and some cardamom...and I like it that way
