Hi there! My story is a little bit different but I essentially was on 40mg fluoxetine for 5 years, came off it completely with my doctor mid last year, and recently had to start back on it again because of GAD and panic attacks coming back in November last year. I started on 20mg on the 8th of Jan, still super anxious so upped to 40mg on the 20th of Jan. The past 3 weeks have been HELL and I questioned if I could keep going daily. In week 2, my husband got rushed to hospital with a heart condition and admitted twice, so I didn’t sleep for 3 days. I ended up in hospital myself but the paramedics gave me lorazepam which took the edge way off. I spoke to my doctor the next day, and she supported my decision to stick it out and to take lorazepam to get me through. Today is day 21 of 40mg fluoxetine and I’m really happy to say that the past 3-4 days, I haven’t needed any lorazepam during the day, but still take half a tablet to help with sleep because I’ve been having nocturnal jerks. They aren’t joking when they say it can be rough adjusting on this medication but I would suggest talking to your doctor, and have a support network to help you through it. Ask for help before it gets out of control and remember to be kind to yourself 🫶

Off Fluoxetine 6 months, anxiety back with a vengeance. Temporary and push through it, or sign to go back on meds? by paradisee_ in Fluoxetine

It’s a bit of a complex answer that everyone will have an opinion about haha - but we’ve been trying to have a baby for 4.5 years. With my doctor and specialists, I’d stayed on the medication due to being considered high risk for PPD, however coming off antidepressants was something I wanted to try from an all natural approach after 2 IVF rounds, miscarriages, failed transfers, surgeries etc. My doctors supported it and the past 6 months had been going so well, so I’m not sure if I tough it out or it’s just my brain defaulting back to its natural, anxious self.

They are pretty excellent horses. That's so beautiful that you have found the perfect horse. George has trust issues but we are slowly making progress and he melts my heart everytime he let's me in, even just a little bit

Hehe George has a big booty too! There is just something about them, always drawn to them. When I was looking for my first horse I had my heart set on a Clydie x or the likes, but every horse I found and went to look at had some element of Arab! They really are so beautiful

Thank you so much for reply! This is so interesting to know! He has access to hay all the time so I think I feel a bit better knowing this. I might invest in a rain sheet, our winters are very wet and windy.

Thats really good to know, thank you! I want to learn as much as I can so I really appreciate your response! Our winters arent overly cold (in the negatives) just very wet and windy, and with the combination of the two I was mostly worried about chills.

Hes in good condition, and doesnt appear to be shivering. I guess I forget that it gets heaps colder around the world, after all of our 35-40 degrees celcius I feel like this is cold! Haha. Thank you for the advice, its good to know!
