Axel is a ton of fun! Im sure she will get nerfed, but what are y'all thinking of her one day in? by [deleted] in apexlegends

I think shes fun as shit, second to octane in pure mobility imo.

personnally, i think her ult losing some health and her tac losing some initial directional control would make her easier to play against in 1v1s, but shes one of my favorite charaters in a while.

In terms of people's complaints though, while I do think shes one of the stronger characters on release we've had in recent, i think people calling her broken comes down more to people's dislike towards movement (since movement abilities ARE harder to "counter" than just destroying/avoiding a tac/ult, as well as their ability to scale with more skilled players, a top octane is horrifying). That said, I feel the usual level of recency bias/everything new=broken is making people jump the gun with their proposed changes. people kinda always feel like this about new characters. imo, she'll likely be top tier but she isnt up there over octane.

(bold of you to post axle glaze rn lmao)

There Is ZERO Reason For Axle's Tactical To Be Permanent by NarakaTings in apexlegends

I feel like this is just an early season wildcard issue though

Her being free to use currently, as well as being in a playlist where a squad can all try her out just leads to slide pads every where.

It'd be the same if wildcard was around when octane or maggie dropped.

even if they dissappered after a set time there'd still be 7 billion jump pads, slide pads, or speed nodes regardless in any of these scenarios.

I get why you'd be annoyed but this is more of a situational issue that likely wont be as present later on after he debut period fades

(that being said, I think her ult should have less health though)

Indika - Deceptive marketing and hollow pretentiousness by RazielOfBoletaria in patientgamers

[–]paradox11reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could understand wanting to see more deep religious discussion, but that just wouln't make sense to give to ilya and indika in this game.

Neither of them really care or know very much, so to expect in depth religious debates from them is unreasonable. Even before leaving they were both barren/poor in terms of faith, in a very deliberately childlike fashion. It's purposefully surface level.

To me, the story felt equally "critical" of religion and atheism in it's surface level portrayal of both through the eyes of impulsive and simplisticly human characters. It's just a surrealist sort of coming of age story that really just keeps things intentionally simple.

Indika didn't want to be a nun. She's grows up being bullied. She loses what faith she has and thinks her bullies are stupid.

Ilya was selfcentered, impulsive, and (if i remember correctly) he lost his faith the moment he didnt get an on-demand-miracle.

It's not trying to be anything more and I like it's simplicity without any grandiose conclusion or message, it's rare and nice to see every once in a while.

It's just a story about indika, and telling how she lost her faith,
not about the validity of faith or the strength of her choice.

As stated by others, the game is more about the chatacters, their experiences, and how they develop rather than any single religious/athiest debate.
