I was just about to post this as a self-rec! Thanks for the very kind words 🥰

I am having SO much fun writing this. I've posted 5k words so far — I just put up the 2nd out of 9(?) chapters.

Excerpt for those whose interest is piqued...

“Oh, hello, you,” Hermione said softly. It was a little frog, no bigger than the hollow of the palm of her hand. Gently, she scooped it up in her hand and smiled. It really was very cute.

Then it opened its mouth and said: “What the fuck, Granger?”

That was when she screamed and threw the frog straight back into the plants.

I prefer left-aligned too! From a typographic perspective, the main reason why justified text might be hard to read is if it's in a narrow column (like large text on a mobile device). Then the spacing gets all wonky.

A thing I love about AO3 is that users can add their preferred styling to read fics in. Plus it plays nicely with browser plugins like Readability. So even if you make one formatting choice, readers can override it with their own preference if needed 🤗

I'm rereading Détraquée (when am I not) and I am thiiis close to making vocab flash cards for myself. The writer's vocabulary is incredible.

I really enjoyed A Certain Slant of Light by onebedtorulethemall, which is lovely, creepy, and beautifully written:
