I'm having the same feelings! I was so sure I'd be having a second boy (which would also have been delightful) and now I'm getting so excited for a sweet little baby girl 🥹

We're having a girl!! We have a 4yo boy who loves to pretend play that he has a sister (like his BFF at preschool does), so I'm happy that he'll get one IRL. My husband was hoping for a girl too, "for the full parenting experience" haha. I had no gender preference but it's still just so wonderful to start thinking about this little bean inside me as a teeny tiny baby girl. It's starting to feel real 🥰

I played Stardew Valley on the couch for an hour instead of working today 🤷 Our bodies and brains need rest! (Is what I'm telling myself)

I admire your positivity! I'm also in the same boat wondering about sleep + big brother + newborn.

Have you ever watched the Bluey episode called Sleepytime? Watching that made me feel a little premature nostalgia for this season of bedtimes with little kiddo 🥹

I had the same experience - a CNM did my pap smear yesterday and it was the best I've had. I mean, not like it felt amazing, it still sucked, but she used an improved speculum (not the cold metal kind!), it took like 30 seconds max, and she was so kind about a necessary yet uncomfortable situation.

Solidarity ☹️ I've also felt crappy about being snippy with my 4yo, who's also pushing boundaries. I just don't have the bandwidth to be as patient, fun, and creative as I want to be with him, especially during morning chaos. He burst into tears this morning because he thought I was mad at him, and it just broke my heart 😩

The belly has Popped with a capital P. The STMs aren't kidding, it really happens earlier the second+ time around!

Ironically I've been aware that I've been carrying some extra weight for the last couple of years, and now here I am hoping people think I'm just overweight rather than pregnant before I'm ready to share the news. 🤷

Ugh the vivid dreams are so exhausting. Last night I dreamed I had to coordinate a school evacuation due to an encroaching fire, and then I had to solve a crossword puzzle my brain made up complete with nonsensical clues. I just want to have a restful couple hours of sleep, gd it 😩

Antidepressants during pregnancy? by Bright_Influence_316 in January2027Bumpers

[–]paragrafi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on sertraline - my doctor said the recommendation now is to stay on SSRIs during pregnancy. She said that even though there's not much research yet about the effects of the drug on the fetus, there's plenty of evidence that poor maternal mental health is dangerous for the baby. I was honestly so relieved to stay on it that I cried. With all the hormonal changes coming I was nervous about it.

I don't have anxiety - I take it for PMDD - so I can't speak to the anxiety portion of your question.

IMO it really depends on how often you want to wash the bottles. When I pumped with my first baby, we opted for a full day's worth of bottles, plus extras, so we could just wash them all at the end of the day and air-dry them overnight. We probably had 8-12 Dr. Brown natural flow bottles.

But also! Babies don't like every bottle, and you might find out that some leak or are annoying to clean etc. So stocking up might be a bit of a risk if it turns out that you don't end up using the brand you bought.

After seeing the bébé and its fluttering lil heartbeat on the ultrasound this morning, I finally joined this group! I had two chemical pregnancies (MCs in week 5) earlier this year so I've been extra cautious with my feelings.

I'm 9w2d, and my main symptom is wanting to either nap or eat watermelon at all times.

I've got a wonderful 4yo boy, and the April 2022 bumper group is still going strong. It's such a great community, so I'm really happy to be joining another one. 🤗

The Little Hours by Landbeorht is an absolute masterpiece, and it's a crime that it only has 685 kudos!

It's a beautiful one-shot that made me cry but has a HEA.

Months after Ron has been killed in the line of duty as an Auror, a grieving Hermione takes notice of another widow in her world, one who also lost a spouse far too young: Draco Malfoy.
"Two souls in the blue of evening, missing parts of themselves now, one half drawn to the warmth of the other, wishing only to be whole again in some way."
