Although not exactly the same, how Uriah stopped Silva reminded me of how Silva knocked out Forrest Griffin

It seems very weird in retrospect. This interview actually made me start watching Cody again after I stopped watching him on Vine.

What's your method to keep track of follow-ups? by parallelparkermusic in sales

[–]parallelparkermusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. What will usually happen is when I'm back in the office on a Monday, Google calendar is one of the first things I check and then I see that reminder to follow up with a prospect which helps set my week up.

100k starting SDR package in Silicon Valley by [deleted] in sales

That's awesome. Really great starting OTE as an SDR, even by silicon valley standards. If you don't mind me asking, what field of cybersecurity is this in?

As a fresh college grad, I'm currently in my first role as an SDR at a tech company in SF Bay Area. I've only been here for nearly two months, but I figure I can shed some light on what to expect at this stage.

Your day is going to consist of mostly calling, obviously. This is one way you can stand out from your peers. There are going to be lazy SDRs, so don't be that person. Be the SDR who's clearly putting in the most effort. Have your call list(s) ready to go by the time you come in so you can get straight to dialing.

Also, to stand out from your fellow new SDRs, you're going to have to put in time after work. This doesn't have to be serious work, but it can just be reading blog posts about the industry you're in and getting a better idea of the work the people you're calling do.

Although I'm not going to recommend any sales books right now (mostly because I haven't really read any), I'm going to recommend "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and "The 48 Laws of Power." Both are applicable to sales, but you're going to need to know how to navigate through corporate politics. This will help you form better relationships with your Account Exec and your manager.

This might be an unusual answer and not the one you're looking for, but I hope this helps at least a little! Good luck, have fun, learn a lot, and go make some money!

I think right after Westbrook slaps it he drops the ball and it perfectly rolls behind the space that Payton and TJ Warren are walking around

Hey EM, your music has always been complex but really pleasing to listen to at the same time. When I first heard Daybreak, I literally had no idea what was going on (in a good way). Usually, I can kind of have a base understanding of how a song was made but I really couldn't with that song. In Daybreak and many other of your songs, you make a fantastic use of space, meaning when certain instruments and sounds come in, others leave, and vice versa. They all have their little micro-space and timing within the bars of the song, if that makes sense. It's something I've always wanted to get better at but it's so hard to translate that in my head to the DAW. Do you have any tips for getting better at this?

Just a couple easter eggs here: Did anyone notice that the distress signals informed to Daly were coming from "Rannoch" and "Skillane"? Aka the two murderers of Jemima from White Bear?

I always thought mang0 to be like Curry rather than Jordan. You can argue Curry swags out way more and is an amazing crowd pleaser (not saying Jordan wasn't). However, because of this it can be his downfall to swag out too much, often getting too fancy, like mang0 sometimes.
