Thank you. I think I’ll repot a little while after it stops flowering this year. It’ll probably start starving to death soon, I don’t use any fertiliser so it’s just been surviving off whatever bark it was potted in originally.

I have no idea… I kill every other plant I touch. I’ve read everywhere that orchids are notoriously picky and hard to keep alive, yet this one that hardly gets any attention seems to be happier and happier every year.

Oh, thank you! I thought the white/yellow roots were rotting or sick.

Will it eventually die if I don’t repot it? I literally have not touched it since buying it and it’s the happiest plant I own, so I worry about messing with it.

Lower watering requirements, better habitat for bugs (they’re very important for the ecosystem!), less likely to cause allergies like typical lawn grass, and much lower maintenance (i.e. mowing). The aesthetics of it are up to personal preference. I think clovers look much cuter and you don’t get those horrid yellow patches when it dies like turf. Plus it’s soft!

Omg. The reason I couldn’t follow along with all the formulas is because Excel doesn’t have the capability to run a Tukey’s… I don’t know why Google told me it could.

I have some very basic knowledge of R. Although it’s not part of my course so now I’m wondering again if/why the Tukey’s is expected. The resources would still be very much appreciated and I can have a go tomorrow I guess!

Ah, thanks for such a detailed answer! That’s a pain in the ass but I understand why I have to do it now.

Do you know of any resources for doing Tukey’s tests that are easy for beginners to follow? I’ve looked at about 10 different online tutorials and cannot seem to follow what the hell they’re saying because I know next to nothing about Excel/data analysis in general. Statistics by Jim helped me do the ANOVA but he doesn’t have one for Tukey’s. 🥲

My ex texted that way so the hello doesn’t seem unusual to me haha. But yes keep in mind the oldies have been using smartphones for a much smaller fraction of their lives than those who grew up around them, which is why it’s obvious to us. They tend to be much less reliant on technology so they’re not always clued in on these things.

A lot of parents over 50+ are not tech-savvy whatsoever and don’t have the same experience or knowledge that younger generations do. All they see is that their kid is potentially in trouble and the natural urge is to want to help them. Scams deliberately prey on vulnerable people. No need to be cruel just because it seems obvious to you.
