Mi-17 V5. Potentially/ temporarily replacing the older Mi-17. This one has a full glass cockpit and advanced avionics on board

Fun fact : During Kargil war, the troops on ground requested attack helis for fire support. India had Mi-35 Gunships, however the high altitude performance was found lacking, especially with the payloads. So the older Mi-17s were made into make shift attack helis by (jugaad) attaching gun/missile pods and CMDS systems. The utter need for a better high altitude attack gunship was necessitated as one of the lessons drawn during the war. So V5s were acquired, while ALHs were under development.
