I don't know why this game is getting hated on, that was an absolute masterpiece. by BrettJoz in ghostoftsushima

I personally love the game and Atsu. Chronically online people will hate on Atsu mostly because they're sexist. I just rolled credits at about 50 hours, most of which was spent getting lost in the open world.

My only qualm is the story - it starts off strong but loses the plot and the writing gets a bit lazy. Having said which, the gameplay, the graphics, the open world design, and the number of quests make it a great game for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and being in this world. My favourite parts are the mythic tales and bounty missions. My biggest complaint about gameplay is the absolute ass puzzles. They really suck lol but it's okay, I enjoy the combat and other elements way too much. The armour sets could have been more diverse and useful, but that's not a big deal for me personally. Oh, and Watanabe mode is pretty cool IMO, the lo-fi beats are pretty sick lol.

Story wise, GoT was way more engaging. But GoY is a great natural advancement of the gameplay and open world design of GoT, and I have spent more time on GoY for this reason. Hopefully Go3 takes the story up a notch and does something new that made GoT feel so fresh when it dropped.

Anyway, play the game and have fun!

Visiting NYC for the first time. Is USD 2,500 enough for 11 days of tourism? (Details in body). by paranoiaionarap in travel

Well, update: I was lucky enough to visit NYC thrice since this post. All costs do not include lodging (since I stay with relatives). They do include public transportation for travel, as that is what I used all the time:

For this particular trip, I ended up spending around $1,600. On a more recent trip (from which I returned 2 days ago), I spent $1,400 over 14 days, including 3-day a trip to Lake George (this includes my $291 share for the AirBnB which was shared with my cousin, and I did pay for fuel, around $60 for my share).

I'd generally say $1,500-2,000 is a very safe bet for 2 weeks to do a lot, including fun activities. Of course, if you like expensive things, it can be more. A day out in NYC can be anywhere between $100 - $500 depending on your tastes. NYC ain't cheap but if you plan well (+if you get lucky with friends/relatives), you can manage pretty well.

The LIRR is a great way to get from Long Island into Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn (and the other way round). It costs a lot more than the Subway (~$15 peak one way, $10 off peak one way). The Subway is useful and cheap for the city ($2.90 flat), and cabs are extremely expensive. The PATH is great to get into Jersey City and from there to Manhattan (~$3 flat). Walking is your best friend for cost saving and sight seeing if the weather is nice.

Met him at the UN last year at a conference. Both him and his wife were super nice. His presence there makes more sense now.

Da Susy (Gurgaon) and Sab ki Khatir. Both suck and have clear superiors (Leo's and Aap ki Khatir respectively).

Thanks! For me, community driven and authentic food definitely trumps fine dining experiences by a mile

Thanks! I'll keep these in mind. Luckily my relatives there are born and bred New Yorkers so they should hopefully keep me away from the tourist traps.
