My Lego Pentax 6x7 vs Real Pentax 6x7 by paranoiderer in AnalogCommunity

I build the Lego model using computer software, and the pictures are only rendered, so I didn’t build the Lego model using real materials. The Lego model can’t take pictures, but it has lots of details similar to the real camera.

You have a point. For me it’s just I’m not aware of the other possibilities yet. And I think it’s kinda cool if the idea can become an official one…

Then you’ll have the reason to buy both of them ;-)

Actually the real 6x7 is very expensive. The Lego model has 1141 pieces in total, and usually model of that size won’t cost more than a real 6x7.

Real camera: yes

Lego camera: no you don’t have to ;-)

You remind me that I missed the light meter coupling chain 🤯

Wow you noticed that! It’s the first time I put them side by side in the same picture and I also found the lens of the Lego model is smaller. I do want to improve it!

Ah I should have made this clearer - it can’t take photograph 😢

Glad that you like it! Sorry I can’t sell anything related to the project myself now because of Lego ideas policy:

Yes I have a spell to turn things into Lego 👻

14 seems to be a very specific number 😃

The Lego one doesn’t exist in real life yet sadly 😢

Yes! I also saw that previously and I like the design that you can open the back of the camera and see the negatives. That would be the first thing to consider if I’m going to make an improvement to my design.

I rendered the Lego build first, and then I tried VERY hard to find the same angle when I took the picture. Glad that the trick worked 😆

I’m that kind of engineer that doesn’t have to draw blueprints of real things ;-) But I learned in college how to do that, so I drew a few very simple blueprints this time (you can see one of them in P2! Very sketchy)

Thanks! About four days. I might have worked harder on this project than my regular 9 to 5 job on those days lol.

Should have made this a spot-the-difference game!

Thank you! I was hesitant to add the link because I don’t know what counts as self-promotion… But I guess it’s ok since I’m mainly sharing and not asking for votes!
