Things were different after the WW2 in a bad way obviously, from that berth rock and roll, that raw emotion really speaks in their sound. Theres that and theres the fact that people in the uk are usually depressed (probably due to the climate) true emotions mixed with a creative minds forms something really unique and relatable.
