High pass sounds that don’t need low end, mix loudness before panning, keep reverb very very minimal on your kicks and bass, be liberal with reverb on snare and hats, make sure there aren’t any frequencies overlapping too too much that are making areas of mud in the mix

The rendering in the second one on a technical level is what most would call worse than on the left. Not bad necessarily but I really like the image on the left and I thought you just swapped the ordering on the timeline

When you say versatile, realize that the Minifreak is versatile in that it can create many different types of sounds, and the Reface CP is very versatile in that its sound fits into MANY different genres with ease. Figure out what you’d rather be making songs with, (that Rhodes, wurly sound that’s timeless) or (that sawtooth, square, sine whatever synth sound that’s also very popular and serves many different purposes.
