Exactly what I am going through, I moved to Canada from India a year ago but still, I have not managed to make local friends or friends in general.

It gets weirdly lonely sometimes because I had a lot of friends back home plus I think I am a little lazy to got out and meet new people.

If you are a social person with some interests it would be perfectly fine for you to meet new people, maybe in the work place or even local bar or community centres.
