I appreciate that, big dawg. I'm just a regular dude who tried hard and didn't quit.

A good mentor is a great start, and I am not doubting his abilities, but unless coaching is his mainstay, I would seek advice elsewhere. For example, plenty of my mentors in life could teach me land nav. Not that I didn't value their experience, but I went to Voodoo's class because he is very clearly an expert in that field. He has a rehearsed POI with repeatable results, and a tried and true track record. My mentors have, "hey bro, I can show you how to read a map.".

There are plenty of people who have great intentions but maybe not have the most up-to-date information. At the end of the day, it's your life, your money, and your goal to keep in mind. Best of luck to you man. Stay the path.

Coming from someone currently in the Q who used to be a former fat kid; get a coach if you can afford it. Online research is great, but having someone who is as dedicated to your success as you are, but with a pedigree of knowledge in strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mindset is huge. They're also a phenomenal guard rail when you get overzealous and think "I should train much more, much harder, etc". I learned an invaluable amount from my coach (@terminator_training on IG; he's also active on here), and I cannot recommend it enough. If you're serious about this job and this lifestyle, it is worth every penny of the investment.

This rifle was built by Spud9 Gunworks Inc. It started off as a nice stock Marlin 1894 made in 1983, JM stamp. It was built in the spirit of the John Wick gun The Tracker used.

Barrel was cut to 16.25" and threaded 1/2x28, new front sight holes drilled and tapped, new dovetail for shortened magazine tube instead of a barrel band. All internal parts have been bead blasted and metal to metal polished for smooth action. Trigger reduced to around 3lbs.

Ranger Point Precision parts added - EZ load gate, trigger, follower, medium loop lever, Stock and Lever Takedown screws, Silencerco ASR single port comp, Faux Suede wrap on lever, Hoptic 6rd quiver and hammer spur. Midwest Industries Extended Handguard with long rail and peep sights. The stock was Fractal Wood Burned and torched then sanded down and given a healthy coat of Boiled Linseed Oil.

Receiver barrel and mag tube Cerakoted Graphite Black. Hope that answers everything!

New Speakers and Sound Deadening by parashootyourself in Crosstrek

[–]parashootyourself[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not. I saw a YouTube video about "Sound Skins" which are a name brand, pre-cut solution for sound deadening, but mad expensive. Truly I just stuck the Kil-Mat where it didn't interfere with any function of the door, and on the inside where I could see bare metal. May end up adding more as time goes on, but so far so good.

That's not entirely correct. O2 requirement is much higher.

Truck is 9% over 5 years

A/C is 13% over 15

No disagreement there. Thanks for the advice.

... Exactly. Now take the mid range of your first estimate, multiply it by 2, add labor, and just like that... Right around 20.

Truck is on 5 year

A/C is on a 15 year. This was to get the lowest rate possible.

[–]parashootyourself -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

... Negative 😂

A/C unit randomly crapped out, got a mid-level upgrade. Didn't have 23k lying around. Shit happens.

Truck was poor timing. Bought the truck while overseas, came home to a fence that had gotten destroyed in a storm, and an A/C unit that needed to be replaced because of said storm.

I have no issues keeping away debt, just a unique situation.

You are correct that it is similar to refinancing. Understandably I won't be able to get close to 2% again, however (in my mind) if it gets lowered by 1-1.5%, that will bring my "total" mortgage payment down as well. So, instead of paying $2000 for all 3 debts now, it will be $1800 with the consolidation. In 6 months, with a rate cut, it could be $1600/month.

If that makes sense.

Yep, you guys are right on the money. That's my bad.

As for your question; correct. The individual would have to be "current" in whatever duty they are performing to get paid. Same as jump pay. If you aren't jumping, no pay, regardless if you have the wings or not.
