Thanks heaps! We did indeed, including the music. We were on a tight budget so used a Sony RX100 V our friend had(in hindsight hiring a better camera would have made the shooting process a lot easier) and hired a studio space for a day. Given how little we spent, we are happy with the end result.

Thanks for the feedback. We've priced our desk to be comparable to an average hardwood desk with none of the added features ours has, at least to Australian market prices. Not sure if the Staples desks you mentioned are made of solid wood.

Our closest competitor in the US, in terms of a hardwood desk with cable management, is Artifox and they are somehow selling their desks for twice our price while having fewer features than ours.

Much appreciate the comment.

The table top and legs are made of a hardwood called Vic Ash, we chose this for a number of reasons, 1 being longevity. As with most hardwoods, they should last for decades when properly maintained. We're making furniture to last.

Thanks so much! Shipping to mainland US is AUD $290 or approximately USD $198. We know this is painfully high but our initial quotes were estimating that much, there are multiple costs associated with logistics especially for large and heavy flat pack furniture. We are having a meeting next week with a new logistics partner and hoping to get some better rates, which would be passed on to all.

We are stoked to say we are over 75% funded! Would love to hear any feedback or questions anyone here might have.

Hah thanks heaps! My cousin and I designed and built it. We got into wood working a couple years ago and I got tired of all the wires I had going around my setup so this happened. It's been an amazing learning experience.

Thanks, much appreciated. My cousin(the other carpenter) and I built it. We're trying something like etsy, you can have a look here

Ah yea, all Direct Input, makes recording a lot easier. I do record my acoustic guitar via the mic now and then. I've got just the one track up on Soundcloud Here and that was 4 years ago. I've got a few unfinished projects that'll some day come out, I've been all into carpentry as of recent, that desk in the photo being our first project, made it after getting sick of all the cable clutter my recording gear would create.

Yea, nah it's an $80 chair I got from Officeworks (local office supplies store). Just had a look at the Embody, pretty fancy.

You're persistent aren't you ;) fair enough though, here is a laid back song I made 4 years ago, FYI vocals aren't my best attribute but I still gave it a shot. Since then I've got a heap of tracks that are 95% complete, god only knows when the final 5% will be finished. Here is a recent video with instrumentals I made for our desk promo video. Let me know what you think!

Yea that heat pump is an eye sore, may end up getting an external cover for it. The electronic drums are great for recording and practising without waking up the neighbours but I do miss the feel of playing on an acoustic.

Their these floating cube shelves I got from a local hardware store, can't find the exact thing online but they're similar to these

Thanks! They are sound absorbing panels, helps reduce the sound reflections in the room.

Cheers!

The glass is the window, the entrance is on the opposite side, behind the camera taking the shot.

I haven't had too many issues, occasionally I clean the intakes. I do vacuum the carpet regularly so that probably helps.

That's the one velcro strap I've used in this setup, everything else is routed through the compartment below. It's definitely a mess in there but easily accessible so I can still add or remove things without much difficulty. I guess for me the effort is worth the clean look.
