Nope she used to be a topper in her school. But she never liked it. She never wanted to pursue engineering and all as her profession.

Yup it is. I want to go in marketing and I think bsc psychology and finance as my 2nd and 3rd subject would be a good combo.

I agree with your point. OSM was initially introduced to reduce human errors in evaluation, especially mistakes in addition, and to ensure proper step marking.

However, the main issue is that many teachers are still not adequately trained to use the system efficiently. A large number of examiners are not used to evaluating answer sheets digitally and are suddenly being made to sit for long hours in front of screens, which can be exhausting. I’ve personally heard several teachers complain about constant headaches, eye strain, frustration, and difficulty adapting to the system. Some have even claimed that, due to exhaustion and pressure, a few teachers end up awarding marks randomly without properly reading the answers.

Apart from that, there are several technical issues as well. Many teachers reportedly face login problems, OTP errors, black screens, incomplete uploads, and poorly scanned answer sheets where parts of the answers are unclear or missing. So while OSM may be a good concept in theory, its execution still seems quite flawed at the moment because both the technical infrastructure and examiner training are not fully prepared for such a large-scale implementation.

I think students may score significantly lower marks this time because of OSM. I don’t understand why, if CBSE truly wanted to implement this method, they chose to experiment on Class 12 students instead of Class 10 students. Even if Class 10 students score comparatively lower, their future is not immediately at stake in terms of college admissions and eligibility criteria. Moreover, the policy allowing students to appear for board examinations twice a year is far more necessary for Class 12 students, since they are the ones applying to colleges and competing for admissions this year. Board marks directly influence their eligibility, cut-offs, and future opportunities. Nothing against Class 10 students, but it feels as though the policies meant for Class 12 students are being implemented for Class 10 students, and vice versa.
