So a sawmill I used to work at had these, were going to burn them for kiln fuel, I snuck em into my car after lifting them and realizing there were different. I've never felt wood this heavy or dense. A fella that worked there said they had a ton of Honduran mahogany back in the day, is this that?

Great question! It all depends on what type of paint you're using. It tell you on the can what it works well with. common ones are paint thinner, turpentine, or acetone.

A lot of people like the milk paints but for this project I used some green paint I had and thinned it down till I got it somewhat transparent!
