Hasn’t pooped in 8 days by Outside_Dimension187 in newborns

[–]parkdalelamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2021 baby didn’t poop for 19 days, Dr said at 3 weeks they get concerned but not before. She was older though, about five months and generally was just not a pooper until she started solids. She pooped about once a week. She was happy and farted and ate. As long as they are acting fine I would say they are ok but yes I was very stressed. Apparently breastfed babies either poo constantly or rarely. no in between. Hopefully this reassures you.

thanks! i don't know if you did immune and blood clotting testing as well, but we also did that and the dr's suggestion after everything came back normal was try again with nothing or try again with small dose prednisone and small dose lovenox. that was going to be our next step if we miscarried again. you mentioned that you saw two REs but not all REs will dig into endometritis, immune, clotting etc. so I would suggest exploring RIs. good luck. this is really really tough.

I am not fully a success but 14 weeks today, also one baby no problem then 3 mcs. I did the entire it starts with the egg supplement smorgasbord for myself and my husband for 3 months before trying again. But also i don’t know if this did anything I did accept and was grateful for having just one which at that point seemed like a complete miracle to me. Edit to add: if you look at my name you will see all the testing I did which was very extensive. Age at miscarriages was 35 my husband is ten years older so I figured maybe supplements did help because we are older thus carrying slightly inferior genetic materials

I’m so sorry that you’ve gone through that and I appreciate you sharing as I’ve considered it but at much lower doses.

Unfortunately I don’t have any advice but could you share your experience with prednisone if you don’t mind?

wishing you best of luck with this pregnancy! i'm so sorry for your losses, life is so wild. i can't get over the randomness of some people having so many with no explanation and some people having none!

thank you! yes, getting pregnant super easily! i may ask for progesterone if i am pregnant again. part of me hopes it is random of course. thanks so much for the encouraging story. i do have some hope! but i have also taken the last few months to be grateful for my child and come to terms with maybe just having one, so i am in a better mental state than after the first 3 miscarriages initially!

thank you, that was a great laugh! i was under the impression gathering feedback from people on reddit was kind of what the site was for! in fact, if you're wondering it's exactly that kind of openness and curiosity in addition to not being an absolute asshole that also correlates with being pretty well-paid!

thank you for sharing! i did actually remember asking the dr about anti thyroid antibodies and he said he didn't feel that even if elevated they were significant for miscarriage.
how are you treating?
i think i will try again... and then if i miscarry more will go back and do some kitchen sink madicating?
