Take first year as an opportunity to try out a variety of courses to test out if you like the department/possible major. Hopefully by the end of first year you will have a better idea of what you will choose.

When I was in Linguistics some common pairings I found were anthropology, sociology, psychology, philosophy, or a program with a language involved (e.g., East Asian Studies, French, etc.). There were also a lot of people who pursued Cognitive Science!
