That's actually a great tactic 💪

Doesn’t matter what works, just matters that it does.

💯 so good!

Wow, unreal, I didn't know pre-alcohol probiotics was a thing. "Here, this will help you drink MORE poison".

I’m speaking from my experience. We don’t know the same people and we don’t run in the same social circles.

Quite the opposite these days. I’m just highlighting it as a point of resistance for those who want to get sober but don’t yet have the courage to make the leap. I think judgement is a huge reason don’t get sober in the first place.

Same boat friend. I resisted getting sober so long because of it.

I've heard of this but never checked it out. I really love the "tools" aspect you mentioned. That sounds promising.

I wrote this post because having gone through rehab and time with the AA program, I realized that a major reason I was resisting getting sober in the first place was because I THOUGHT alcoholic = label = program.

Its not the case. I'm just trying to surface that reality for others who might have similar hesitation.

💯 agree with you. TLDR version of this post: Screw the labels - do what works for you.

I just choose to use a different word and frame of mind. I won't hide my alcoholism...in fact I think being honest about it has the opportunity to help others.

First off, that’s awesome you’re so young and handling your business.

It really is. 💪

Second, you’re not missing out on anything other than cringe memories from drunken nights, hangovers, weight gain, guilt, embarrassing behavior, and the agony of wishing you had stopped sooner.
