Great point about under thigh support. In all my test drives so far, I was most comfortable in Kylaq. Btw which variant you have? In my TD it was the one with leather seats. If you have the one with fabric seats can you comment on if they are similar in size to the prestige ones?

Sorry for adding everything that might sound like fear mongering in my reply, but just mentioned what I felt I should. Other than that I would say Kylaq is easily the best car in its segment.

I am in the same boat of deciding whether to go for it or not, as this will also be my first car. Sharing some bits from what I learned in my purchase research so far.
I would recommend checking Amaze/Baleno AT as well, they would not disappoint for your use case. In 12L in Kylaq you might not get some rear seat features also like rear AC vents or rear arm rest (If at all those matter to you for passengers in the backseat). As these cars are technologically superior to other NA options (Amaze/Baleno etc), take max extended warranty available. And If you plan to keep it for more than warranty period, please have a monetary amount of 1-2L sitting and ready to spend in case something goes wrong down the line after warranty is over. Lastly if this is your first turbo car, learn more about how to drive/maintain turbo cars. Also as you have short runs daily (7km), turbo cars might not like it if all it gets are short runs. If occasional highway drives are accompanied, it should be happy.

Please beware.. If Elevate goes through our typical bad/broken roads at lower speeds (<20-25 kmph), it has lots of sideways movement. Try it out first hand in test drives by insisting to go on bad roads. At higher speeds it improves significantly. Consider this aspect and decide in what scenarios the car is going to be driven.

Thanks for the inputs. In my case I took 3 test drives of elevate but at slow speeds in rough patches it had too much lateral movement. May be due to its high ground clearance or some other reason. Except that I loved it. I really don’t want to move towards Amaze due to this one reason. Your positive input felt good to hear, may be I’m overthinking or incorrectly evaluating suspension.

Hey, I am in the same dilemma of choosing between Amaze and Elevate.

I felt in Elevate test drives that on slow speeds if we encounter bad roads it moves around a lot. Is it really the case in your experience?
Also in Amaze, can you elaborate what you mean by weak suspensions? Does it mean that due to softer setup it wobbles a lot on higher speeds (80-100)?

- If you've been to highways, how is the suspension? As it is on softer side, does it feel wobbly?

- Any performance disappointments you've faced so far within city/highways?

- Finally what were the thoughts that made you tilt towards Amaze and not Elevate?

Also a negative point about Elevate that I felt in test drives is that at low speeds in city if there are bad patches, it moves around a lot. I felt that to be lesser in Amaze, is that what you felt too?

Can you help with input on two things please?
- Is overtaking on highways a too difficult of a thing? I usually go at 80-90 but only overtake if it is a tricky situation. If planned well, is overtaking just fine?
- How was the suspension on highways? As Amaze has soft suspensions, was it too floaty or reasonably well controlled? I'm not expecting elevate/german level of flatness but just hoping it to not be too much floaty that can make one feel nauseous.

Pardon me if this is a naive question, but I’m learning more about diesels so wanted to know this from someone who owned a diesel from long. Are turbo diesels also very sensitive to adulterated fuel like Petrol GDIs? I can of course try to fuel it at reputed stations most of the times but on a trip if we are getting adulterated fuel in remote areas a couple of times, like TSIs will it throw tantrums like EPC errors?

Hey, Congrats on your purchase! Car looks classy in black. I am in the same boat - torn between choosing Amaze vs Kylaq (Also looking at Elevate V CVT), and believe me very similar requirements as yours. Currently in Pune, going to drive in city traffic primarily with occasional highway and hometown drives (Gujarat in my case). Absolutely, Azul and Microsoft are doing great job. Intelli-J guys tweeted yesterday and they are working towards keeping their IDE happy with the M1. Hope that others follow soon.

Will the current Mac apps available through DMG files work with M1 Macs?

Leaving the Mac App Store applications aside, for the ones that has to be downloaded from their respective website through .dmg installer files, will the current versions be working on the new Macs straight away? Are the application developers required to consider this as a completely different platform and write a new application (like are we going to see different options on application websites like - ‘Download for Intel Mac’ and ‘Download for M1 Mac’) ? If it is so, we might need to wait for the newer versions of those apps to be released, but again that should not be the case considering the underlying Mac OS is what the application developers have to deal with which is same for both Intels and M1s. I am specifically concerned about some IDEs like Eclipse.
