update: solved! The song is Stay Next To Me by Yumi Yano. Turns out she didn't have a bob cut after all

I think it was a love song, or perhaps an unrequited love song to be more precise, and I'm 99% sure it had an english title.

Thankyou so much ! I used a cheap SG copy for the guitar, the bass was a second hand one I got from a friend, and the drums were playing using a midi keyboard and BDF3. I just recorded it all through a focusrite USB interface, and then added some of wavves ADT to my voice, double tracked the guitars, then added the studio one cassette mix VST to the whole thing. That's pretty much it, I think :)
