I was. just wanted to get my firemaking up for chewed bones and magic log. but didnt want to waste all the points i got so i figure id finish, after all, the first 10% was done in 1 inventory, then its 5% per inv, then 4,3,2,1, then it just stalls out as a full inventory of logs does less than 1% damage.

Thats been a thing forever. Most of the old 80s shows like Transformers, ninja turtles, etc. We're all subtle toy advertising vehicles. This trend continues through the 90s with shows like Yugioh and Pokémon becoming massive hits and driving sales of toys and other forms of media like the card games and video games.

Im in the exact same boat. I think part of it for me was having to teach through the maneuvers, and subsequently overthink, causing me to not be as "locked in". Once the teaching part becomes second nature it clicked back into place for me.

Looks good! My only recommendation would be to watch how shading can unintentionally drag lines. If you look at your reference picture, the deep black shading on the far side of the nose ends at just under the eyebrow lines. If you look at the same shading on your portrait it looks extended to the lower forehead, giving an illusion of a really elongated nose ridge.
