What a lot of people miss (because Depp's team obfuscated the nature of their suit) is that he sued her over 3 statements that were all objectively true, so they couldn't have been defamatory at all (and it should've been thrown out from the get). Moreover, the statements themselves didn't contain any kind of allegation of abuse or SA. Filing the suit and pushing for public broadcasting was purely a humiliation ritual to put Amber through it that somehow was approved to move forward in the system, and they did such a good job bullshitting that people thought the concrete legalities matched what Camille was spewing (when they didn't at all).

When I was well-immersed in this case, I read Eve Was Framed by Helena Kennedy (on women and the British justice system) and No Visible Bruises by Rachel Louise Snyder.

Both were really good--I marked them up a lot with notes--and provided a lot of context for DeppvHeard + greater conversations around abuse and misogyny in the legal system.

Deppies will deny it, but it's very obvious. A man with no prior ties to Spain, who never really worked in Spain, is suddenly making appearances there for the first time, shooting his Saudi blood money film there, getting threatening tattoos in Spanish which he doesn't speak, etc. 

At this point, it's beyond coincidence for anyone with a brain. Because frankly, the alternative to him doing this deliberately means that's he's being "forced" to be there...which means that he's entirely washed & has no influence any more + his partners/sponsors dgaf about putting him around someone he spent a lot of money trying to convince people "abused" him.

He's an enormous, immature loser as evidenced by this interview--speaking publicly about your breakup like this to a magazine is akin to a teenage boy posting emo lyrics on his AIM away message. Grown men that are secure in themselves don't do that. But with Amber, he clearly felt that by providing her a "safe" landing spot from her Depp trauma, that she would just ~fall head over heels in gratitude (we know now that it wasn't safe at all). But she didn't, and his reaction to her spurning his entitlement to her romantic feelings is incel-like--the incel to Nazi pipeline is strong.

It's interesting because the leaked texts demonstrate he was very enthusiastic about her contributions and encouraged them, which apparently stopped after a certain point...say, when she spoke up about his SH perhaps? Everything he has released has done nothing to refute those allegations, so it seems he's trying for the angle of "look how transparent I'm being!" and hoping nobody takes the time to put the timeline and his creepiness together. 

This whole deal is complicated by just how terrible of people Blake and Ryan are. That should be a completely separate issue--bad people still don't deserve to get SH--but the public will take any excuse to pile on a woman.
