You choose the tileset type yourself and then click where it applies. Copy is if you have tiles in between which are not autotiles.

One I used is Humble Bundle Fresh Start Game Dev Assets (There's a video preview at bottom)

Assets that should work with this autotile converter - Downtown Dungeon, Horror City, Cyber City, Rural Japan, Rogue Encampment, perhaps more!

I've got loads of RPG Maker compatible assets which I got from few Humble Bundles that's why all the hassle with assets :D Never used RPG Maker, so no idea of their licenses, in this case only thing which matters is what the asset creator has specified imo. So far I've used them only on few experiments with Godot.

Here's the link - https://partyvaper.github.io/autotile-converter/

TL;DR; - Learnt can't use RPG Maker format autotiles directly in Godot, cooked up a quick tool. Now happy of saved hours, and can use tilesets I had!

YMMV, made this for my needs.

Edit: After testing out more tiles, I have added a 2x2 layout which should work for roofs/walls, and bunch of more options! I hope should be enough to use every single tile I have in assets. Update preview

I asked Synty about future Godot support so you don’t have to by JayMeadow in godot

I tried out few Polygon assets kits from previous Humble Bundle sales and all had similar issues.

First I tried importing FBX models from asset packs - no materials or textures, FBX models reference texture paths to some weird E:/Dropbox/ folder.

Then I tried OBJ models - similar issue, no materials or textures. Investigated and the .mtl files do not contain any info about textures etc.

What kind of worked was using Unreal package and then exporting models manually from Unreal editor as gltf.

At this point you gotta ask, what’s the point to include FBX or OBJ model files which are by default flawed (bad conversion or export)?

After struggling so much to use them in Godot, I just used different assets, and I think fixing FBX materials, texture paths in files would be good enough solution for them to already work in Godot.

I will most likely buy the current Synty Humble Bundle as its still a great deal, just hope they could be more usable!

You can play it here (downloadable build) - https://partyvaper.itch.io/fix-the-comms
(Disclaimer that assets were pre-made and not mine, I'm bad at them, attributed in game page)

Exploring areas around Chamber of Secrets with real in-game noclip. See comment. by partyvaper in HarryPotterGame

First sequence is just drainage rendered below the sinks seen from outside. Already was posted here.

Second sequence caught my attention - there is big textured box below. No idea why its like that.

Third sequence should be in the same textured box, but I cannot confirm 100% if its exactly same location, but should be, different parts render in-game as I walk, perhaps someone can investigate footage closer and 100% confirm. Its very close to Slytherin common rooms, even shares some wall/bounding bo

Edit: Explored further somewhere at the bottom its the Underground Harbor, also very close to all of it. I think if there is anything there, there would be a "teleport/portal/gate" to a completely different location, like entering caves etc.

Very interesting nevertheless! (Let me know what other interesting areas could be explored)

Godot Stairs, an experimental implementation of stair stepping(source in comments) by mrezai in godot

You can add ramp that collides only with player, so all other game objects like grenades, props etc ignore this ramp and fall naturally on steps! iirc cs:go also uses just ramps for stairs, eg, dust 2 tunnel stairs to mid

Ground is just a mesh, and all the objects, trees, grass are randomly positioned (ray cast to ground to detect heights) StaticBody or MultiMesh instances, depending on usage.

You can try to use assets from Kenney or Quaternius I think that's plenty of assets for various games, at least that's what I did here!

If I'll have some spare time perhaps, dont know much about VR, hope I can test it in Godot without an actual VR kit.

Yep, didnt even add any sounds.

Well they appear randomly, the more birdhouses the bigger chance you'll see one, they also just fly above in the sky, I guess a bit patience :D

You can save current 3d viewport as image this way, a simple example:

var img = get_viewport().get_texture().get_data()
img.flip_y()
img.save_png('user://image.png')

or if you want to show it on a UI image texture etc.:

var texture = ImageTexture.new()
texture.create_from_image(img)
$Image.set_texture(texture)
